dallas_wedding_planner_0230Joe was creative and planned a scavenger hunt to the different places the two like to frequent as a couple; which even included dinner at Dragonfly of Hotel ZaZa. The final clue led the two back to their home for the evening were Joe had champagne, cake, flowers, and the ring ready to ask for Jeff’s hand in marriage.

The two looked absolutely dapper as they exchanged vows framed by a beautifully bright arch created by our sister company Freesia; whom was also in charge of all of the other floral decor that complimented the garden and reception area.

These amazing details of floral added the color and texture of for the couple’s vision of bright, elegant, masculine, and organic along with the natural colored linens by BBJ Linen. They wanted their wedding day to be a complete representation of who they are by tying in their Hispanic cultures with fun textures of lotus pods, driftwood, succulents along with bright hues of reds, oranges, purples, greens and bronze-copper accents.

The couple tells us that a special moment of the wedding was, “Walking down the aisle hand-in-hand with Joe’s son symbolized the family we’ve become. Also, having so many people there who loved and supported us was beyond touching…”

All-the-while enjoying all of the fun guests’ also enjoyed amazing food and cocktails by Gil’s Catering.

No wedding would be complete without cake! The couple chose a simple, yet amazing cake by Delicious Cakes! To keep with the organic and masculine feel of their wedding, the cake was displayed on a wood slate and adorned with succulents.

Jeff and Joe both agree that their favorite moment of their wedding was that there was no rain! “Since we planned an outdoor ceremony and reception, we were quite nervous about the rain in the forecast. There was not a single raindrop, so we were able to celebrate as we had planned all along.”

dallas_wedding_planner_0248

In preparation for the rain the couple had to make a split decision on implementing a tent. To keep the outdoor feel they chose a clear tent without sides by Ducky Bob’s. We are so glad that Shannon Skloss Photography was there to catch all the amazing details for lasting memories and great stories later on. Shannon even notes that the clear tent reflected a lot of light from the lights that were strung by Simply Music which made for amazing photos.

Jeff and Joe say there favorite part about being married so far is, “The security of knowing that we’ll have someone with whom to share our lives and grow old.”

Rustic Chic Spring Wedding

When Trent and Lindsey met it was not all heart eyes and butterflies at first. They met on a plane that was owned by Lindsey’s friend’s family and Trent was their pilot. Lindsey’s best friend stayed in touch with Trent so they ended up seeing each other several times after that. Then a few years later Trent finally asked Lindsey on a date. They dated for 2 years before Trent popped the question on January 31, 2014.

On that chilly winter day, Trent and Lindsey were at the lake and decided to take a stroll after unpacking like they usually do. They were sitting at a picnic table enjoying the view when they realized it was 5:55pm. “Time to make a wish!” and yes, they still do this tradition. After they both made their wishes Trent asked Lindsey what she had wished for. To his excitement her response was, “to spend the rest of my life with you.” This set him up perfectly to ask her to marry him, so he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring! Once Lindsey realized what was going on, she gave him a big “yes!”

Trent and Lindsey wanted a rustic chic spring wedding look. The ceremony was held at the Perkins Chapel and the reception was at Times Ten Cellars. They used ivory, gray, greenery and pops of peach to give it a farm to table, industrial style. Lindsey loves lights so they used a lot of cafe lights and candles. It was simple and romantic.

The floral arrangements were done by The Southern Table.    dallas_wedding_planner_0128

Lindsey’s gown was designed by La Sposa and she purchased it at Patsy’s A Bridal Boutique. The gray suits and dresses really complimented the look of the wedding. The colors are very aesthetically appeasing.

Ben Q Photography did an amazing job at capturing all the lovely smiles and precious moments from this beautiful day for the couple to remember for a lifetime.

The delicious cake was baked by Sugar Bee Sweets; whom also baked the cake balls the couple chose as their party favors. The food that was served was done by Grace Cafe.

Entertainment for the evening was mixed and mingled by DJ Seth Bohlman.

dallas_wedding_planner_0129

Growing up Trent was always in love with the “velvet Elvis” that his parents owned, so as a wedding gift Trent’s parents gave them the coveted portrait of Elvis Presley in all his velvet glory. Undoubtedly there was great laughter and big smiles from everyone. What a fun and memorable gift!

dallas_wedding_planner_0126

Lindsey said her favorite part of the wedding was their first look. Trent’s favorite part was being able to sit down to have dinner and by themselves. It was the alone times where they really got to absorb the excitement and joy for that day and for each other.

dallas_wedding_planner_0134

The couple said that their wedding turned out just the way they wanted it. The wedding resembled them and their relationship which made the day so amazing. It was a blessing to work with these two love birds and to be asked to help them with this journey. It turned out wonderful! Thank you for letting us be apart of such a beautiful day as we watched you become husband and wife.

Romantic Wedding at Ashton Gardens

What says “romance” more than a garden themed wedding? We could not think of any. These love birds, Lori and Bryan, are college sweethearts who recently got married at the gorgeous Ashton Gardens. Their story starts when they met at Brookhaven College where Bryan was playing baseball and Lori was studying her basic courses. They dated for five years before they got engaged. At this point, Bryan had transferred to Northwood University and that is where he proposed to Lori. It was during his last home game as a senior. The announcer had called all the seniors out to the field and then Lori heard her name called as well. She went to the field to find him with a half cut baseball open with a ring in it. In front of everyone at the baseball game Bryan got down on one knee and asked Lori to be his wife.

dallas_wedding_planner_0142

The theme for their wedding was “romantic garden” which they executed quite well. Lori wanted to use a lot of hydrangeas in honor of her late parents who had huge bushes of them in front of their house. Gro did a wonderful job with their arrangements and giving the room the garden feel that the couple was looking for.

dallas_wedding_planner_0141

Lori wore a beautiful gown by Anjolique Bridal which she had received from Bliss Bridal Boutique. The use of pastel colors mint, blush and ivory gave the wedding a soft, romantic feel.

dallas_wedding_planner_0149

In asking what their favorite moment from the wedding was, they said that it was a very short moment right after they walked back down the aisle together. Before the bridal party could catch up to them, Bryan picked Lori up and spun her around. When he sat her down they high-fived and said “OMG we’re married!”

dallas_wedding_planner_0144

Another special moment for Lori was in the morning after she woke up to start her day. She sat in the window seat of her room at the Wildwood Inn staring out onto the beautiful grounds with her coffee to have some alone time before things got crazy. She knew she would be missing her parents deeply on this day so she wanted to have some time to reflect and talk to them. She said that she had asked them to give her strength and to walk with her that day. Once she felt their presence, she knew she was ready. She said, “I knew that they were with me all day and that my daddy was on my other arm helping my big brother walk me down the aisle.”

An awesome addition to their romantic wedding was the cigar bar created on Ashton Gardens patio. The cigars were provided by Cigar Frog’s.

dallas_wedding_planner_0147

The simple yet elegant cake was baked by the delicious Sugar Bee Sweets. It fit well with the garden theme and really completed the look. To add a special touch that has Lori & Bryan all over it, the baker created silhouette cats & laid them on the cake.  To say that they LOVE cats is an understatement.

These lovely pictures were taken by Shannon Skloss Photography and their videographer was Lynn Films. The entertainment and lighting for the evening was executed by ES Events. The reception was full of people dancing the night away and enjoying cigars. It was certainly a party!

Southern Spring Wedding at Gleneagles Golf Club

John and Caroline met through their best friends in college at the University of Georgia and immediately hit it off. They dated for five years leading up to John nervously getting down on one knee, bouquet of roses in hand, and asking Caroline to marry him. She was so excited that she almost forgot to say yes!

Caroline knew she wanted a spring wedding with a southern flair to incorporate the couple’s roots. The beautiful ceremony took place at Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 26, 2014, the perfect time for a spring wedding.

dallas_wedding_planner_0002

Caroline’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous dresses designed by LulaKate. Caroline wore a stunning Elizabeth Fillmore bridal gown. She was breathtaking.

dallas_wedding_planner_0004

After the ceremony, guests arrived to Gleneagles Country Club and were greeted by the elegant Dallas Wedding Music string quartet playing. John and Caroline had a cocktail menu filled with fresh orange infused water, red and white wine, and two southern style signature drinks of Arnold Palmers and Mint Juleps. The hors d’oeuvres were to die for….tomato & mozzarella skewers, fried artichokes, crab cakes, bacon wrapped dates & apricots, and coconut shrimp. So yummy!

dallas_wedding_planner_0005

For the reception, Caroline continued her southern, natural, airy feel. Tables were decorated with champagne shantung linens accentuated with classic gold chiavari chairs from M&M Special Events. The incredibly beautiful floral arrangements were done by the amazing Branching Out Floral Design and were accompanied by an array of candle collections to tie the whole look together. Beyond did an awesome job with the lighting to create a romantic atmosphere for the reception. Caroline’s vision for her wedding absolutely gorgeous to say the least.

dallas_wedding_planner_0006

John and Caroline chose “Wonderful World” by Sam Cooke, one of their favorite songs, for their first dance as husband and wife.

dallas_wedding_planner_0007

Sugar Bee Sweets did such a phenomenal job with the cakes. I mean look how gorgeous they are!  Caroline wanted to surprise John with a special UGA cake to represent their alma matter and favorite team. Go Bulldogs! A hobby of theirs is to brew beer. It was the perfect special touch to this tailgate style cake.

dallas_wedding_planner_0008 dallas_wedding_planner_0009

As the evening went on, everyone danced the night away to the band Tenacity!

dallas_wedding_planner_0010

To keep the energy going strong, John and Caroline came up with the fun idea to pass one of their favorite treats, Chicken Fried Honey Biscuits, as a late night snack. They were such a hit!

dallas_wedding_planner_0011

A favorite Kaufman family treat of homemade toffee was given to guests as favors.  We’re a bit of toffee connoisseurs so we can tell you firsthand that this was some delicious toffee.  Thank you, Beth & Caroline!

dallas_wedding_planner_0012

As guests gathered outside for the departure they were given handfuls of rose petals to toss over the happy couple. Blomberg Photography did an amazing job capturing every sweet and happy moment of this spring wedding.

dallas_wedding_planner_0013

When asked what her favorite part of the evening was, Caroline said, “It was how in love I felt. John and I aren’t a very mushy-gushy couple, but the whole night, we couldn’t take our eyes off each other. We danced and mingled and ate and laughed…and hardly left each other’s sides. Looking back, I still get the feeling of bliss I had that night. It was really perfect!”

We couldn’t be more pleased to have been apart of your first steps in your new life together, Caroline & John!  Cheers to living “Hoppily Ever After”!
